Back in 2020, Vet Rob Tulloch opened The Market Town Vets with 4 members of staff. Over the following year, the business grew despite the lockdown crisis because Oswestry liked what they had to offer.
Based just off Church Street, the affordable, friendly and independent vet practice strives hard every day to live up to these ideals and provide the service that people want for their beloved pets.
Rob and his team offer all aspects of general practice: routine vaccinations, health checks, health plans, routine operations, preventative medicines and all at very competitive prices.
“We have in house specialties including an Orthopaedic surgeon, soft tissue surgery certificate holder, internal medicine certificate holder, exotic medicine and surgery. We are now looking to expand the Oswestry branch to utilise the upstairs floor with further operating, prep area, kennels and office space,” Rob explained.
It wasn’t long into the Oswestry practice’s journey before they expanded into Shrewsbury in 2021, opening an office in Sutton Park. “We were able to take on more vets, nurses and support staff, which was fantastic and in the next month or two, we will have both the Oswestry and Shrewsbury sites employing 29 staff.
“To make sure we can provide the best veterinary services for our clients, we will have a total of 6 vets, 4 RVNS, 4 Student nurses, 2 VCA’s, 8 admin roles and several other support staff. Our priority is providing the best care we possibly can.
“We are now Looking for further vets and nurses to help with the increasing workload at our Shrewsbury branch.”
