Justin and Sherie Soper from Borderland Rotary club recently ran a successful bookstall at Whittington Primary school selling children’s books of all shapes and sizes.

Sherie Soper  said, “We only had a relatively short time to run the stall and it was extremely busy.  It was frantic and we sold lots of books raising an amazing £80.50, which was topped up by Borderland Rotary to £100.

Sherie added, “The plan was to raise money for the school itself so they could invest in something for the children.”

Head Teacher, Carl Rogers said, “We very much appreciate all of the effort in supporting the school, and we are pleased to say that the £100 will be spent on a collection of poetry books to encourage the children to both read and write poetry.”
