Members of the media yesterday enjoyed a briefing at Wrexham Glyndwr University which included a tour of the Plas Coch campus.
This event was the first chance to see the developments made so far as part of the Campus 2025 strategy, as well as seeing exclusive plans for three other development areas – the Learning Gateway building, new state of the art engineering building and following the successful HEIW bid, the new Health Education & Innovation Quarter.
As part of the tour, the media got to see the completed refurbishment of B Corridor – the main teaching area, including specialist teaching, learning and social spaces, two dedicated social learning spaces, the refurbished reception area, and brand new Enterprise Lounge and newly-developed agile working space for staff.
Afterwards there was a visit to see the first phase of refurbishments at the School of Arts on Regent Street.
The event was presented by Vice Chancellor Professor Maria Hinfelaar, Executive Director of Operations Lynda Powell, Executive Director of Finance David Elcock, Deputy Vice Chancellor Claire Taylor, Faculty Dean of Social & Life Sciences Simon Stewart, and Faculty Dean or Art, Science & Technology Alec Shepley.
