Director Oliver Stone (Platoon, JFK) is no stranger to controversy and this; his latest thriller, continues his reputation for turning the spotlight on some of the more dubious aspects of America’s recent history. The ever reliable Joseph Gordon Levitt takes the lead role as Edward Snowden – who on leaving the National Security Agency, decided to expose the organisation’s surveillance techniques by leaking thousands of classified documents to the public; making him a hero in the eyes of some and a traitor to others.

Brilliant comedian Tina Fey heads for more serious territory in the story of New York news copywriter Kim Baker, who in 2003 decided to take a three month assignment covering the conflict in Afghanistan. Martin Freeman, Alfred Molina and Billy Bob Thornton are amongst the impressive supporting cast of this comedy drama.
