With temperatures continuing to soar, air conditioning is a ‘must’ in a car.

The Arthurs Group, with Vauxhall dealerships in Oswestry and Newtown and a Peugeot dealership in Wrexham, has had the foresight to invest in new portable air conditioning equipment – for all makes of car.

In what the group describes as a ‘significant’ investment, each of the three dealerships now has a new Texa air conditioning service station able to work with the older R134a refrigerant and the new R1234yf refrigerant at the same time.

Senior service adviser Lee Kilbride of Arthurs of Oswestry said the R1234yf refrigerant was now obligatory for new vehicles in Europe and at the same time was a more ‘environmentally friendly’ gas.

“This machine replaces old aircon gas with new both quickly and efficiently and as the equipment works on any model of car it should prove a big asset and be in constant demand.”

The cost of aircon gas replacement is £59.95 for cars with the old refrigerant and £249 for cars with the new refrigerant.
