Lawyers at one of the region’s top law firms have once again been hard in training for the Oswestry 10k run which is due to take place on October 16th.
As the streets of Oswestry line with spectators, Euros Jones, a partner at GHP Legal, and solicitor James Denton, will be feeling well prepared for the competition, having recently completed a half marathon around Lake Vyrnwy. They are hoping to be accompanied by other staff members from the firm’s Oswestry, Llangollen and Wrexham offices.
GHP Legal have been one of the main sponsors of the ‘Adrenaline Sporting Event’, since the 10k run started in the town. The event aims to bring together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness, competition, charity, health, fun, or simply to finish.
Euros Jones said: “It was great to see this event back on the agenda last year, after it was cancelled in 2020 because of covid. James, I and three others from GHP Legal enjoyed what is really quite a gentle run around the area, starting from Church Street at 9am, and we were definitely up for it again this year.
“The Oswestry 10k run is a great community event and it’s good to mix with colleagues outside of work in a different environment. I would certainly encourage others to enter and experience the feel-good factor it brings.”
