Townhouse in Oswestry have raised over £1000 for Hope House Children’s Hospices.  The popular Bar & Brasserie turned their stunning outside dining space into a haven for children at their recent Family Fun Day and BBQ.

The Family Fun Day and BBQ took place on Sunday 14th August from 12noon until 5pm.  Many families attended the event with children enjoying lots of activities such as face painting, bouncy castle and hoppers whilst their parents enjoyed listening to live music.

All monies raised on the day were donated to Hope House Children’s Hospices with the biggest fundraiser being a raffle including prizes such as a Makita drill donated by Travis Perkins, membership at Activ8 Gym and lots of different vouchers.

“We are so grateful to everyone that came along to the Family Fun Day and BBQ” said Ollie Jackson Owner “the weather was on our side and everyone had lots of fun”.

“ We are thrilled to have raised over £1000 to help ensure local seriously ill children and families receive the support they need.” Said Natalie Jones Event Manager  “The majority of this amount was raised from our raffle and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that donated such wonderful prizes making the raffle such a success”.

Hope House Children’s Hospices provide care and support to seriously ill children and their families throughout Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.  It currently costs over £7million to keep their doors open and their services running and around 80% of the monies needed are from fundraising.

“Without support from our local community, we simply would not exist” said Fundraising Team Leader Lynsey Kilvert “We are so grateful to Townhouse Oswestry and everyone who attended their Family Fun Day and BBQ for being so generous and for raising such a fantastic amount for the children and families we care for”.
